About LEAD
American Farmers & Ranchers Leadership Exploration And Development Program (LEAD) is a diverse, flexible and innovative program to assist in the needs of growing Oklahoma through informed leaders. The primary purpose is to provide educational and leadership opportunities for rural Oklahomans.
Leadership State Council
The State Council meets to plan events and activities and guide the mission of the program. They work year-long in promoting and implementing the goals of the group.
LEAD State Conference
LEAD hosts a state conference each year. This event focuses on developing leadership skills and highlights the current LEAD initiative program. It is a great opportunity to bring LEAD members from across the state together for a two day educational and networking opportunity. Each year the conference is held in a different part of the state to highlight the diversity of Oklahoma.

Tours & Events
AFR is passionate about providing educational opportunities in our member’s backyards. LEAD events and tours focus on highlighting area agribusinesses and issues affecting Oklahoma and local communities.
OSU Collegiate AFR
Oklahoma State University Collegiate AFR (CAFR) is a newly established program for AFR members to continue their involvement after graduating from high school. Offering students an opportunity to grow their leadership skills with emphasis on education, cooperation and legislation by experiences throughout Oklahoma.
