AFR Food Drive Deadline is Dec. 11
Volunteer leaders with the “Drive away hunger with AFR” food drive are wrapping up their 2015 campaign with a request for financial gifts. The campaign is a joint effort with local and statewide food banks including the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and American Farmers & Ranchers Women’s Cooperative.
“For each dollar donated the food banks can provide up to five meals to those who are hungry,” said Suzanne Gilbert.
Gilbert added that donations can be applied towards one of the following initiatives:
- Rural hunger initiatives; donations which will be matched through the Invest an Acre campaign. Click here to donate
- Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the 53 counties they serve; donations will be matched by Chesapeake Energy and the Cresap Family Foundation. Click here to donate
