Women's Cooperative Holds "Paint Your Path" Conference
We like to have fun and socialize while we learn valuable information about how to better help our communities and grow our businesses. In August the Women's Cooperative did all of these things during the 2015 AFR Women's Conference "Paint Your Path."
71st Annual Speech Contest
This popular event is held in the fall of each year and is available to members and non-members. Students in grades 4-12 compete in their respective category at District contests held around the state. First and second place winners in each of the categories advance to the State Speech Contest held in Stillwater on the campus of Oklahoma State University.
AFR/OFU Youth Program Helps Children in Need
More than 130 American Farmers & Ranchers/Oklahoma Farmers Union (AFR/OFU) 2015 Leadership Summit attendees once again teamed up with Kids Against Hunger to help fight hunger in the United States and abroad. Kids Against Hunger is a humanitarian food-aid organization with a mission to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the U.S. and to feed starving children throughout the world.
AFR/OFU Leadership Summit Focuses on Life Goals
American Farmers & Ranchers/Oklahoma Farmers Union (AFR/OFU) hosted its 2015 Leadership Summit July 26 – August 1. More than 160 students participated in leadership development activities that will benefit them far into the future.
This year marks the second year for the summit to be held at Big Cedars Camp near Wanette, Okla. The central location has made the AFR/OFU Leadership Summit equally accessible to both sides of Oklahoma.
We Are Now Writing Single-wide Manufactured Homes
AFR is now allowing single-wide manufactured homes built in 1995 or later to be written as the primary dwelling on Farm & Ranch policies.

Oklahoma's farmers and ranchers are energized and excited about the Right To Farm amendment. If passed, Oklahoma will join a growing list of states, including Missouri and North Dakota, that are taking steps to protect the hard working families that grow our food and our economy. However, we know people have questions about what a Right To Farm amendment will do, and why it's needed.

Spend the day with LEAD at the largest private foundation in Oklahoma as we tour the campus, plant science research programs and more.

Join LEAD and OCA for the Range Round-Up Cattle Seminars in August
Join LEAD and OCA for an afternoon of fun, educational seminars designed to update producers on the most recent news and technology in the cattle industry, followed by a tour or the Lazy E facility and OCA Range Round-Up performance.
There will be a drawing for 25 general admission tickets to the OCA Range Round-Up performance Saturday evening, so be sure to get your reservations in for a chance to win! Must be in attendance for the seminars in order to win tickets. Limited to the first 50 to register.
Drive Away Hunger with AFR
Help AFR donate 50,0000 meals in 2015 with the "Drive Away Hunger" food drive August 1st through September 30th. Throughout August, we will be supporting the "Back to School Milk Drive" and "Plant A Row" program, which help Oklahoma families in need. There will also be a competition for AFR locals.
