Court Rules In Favor of Right to Farm Amendment

Oklahoma residents will have the opportunity to vote on State Question 777, Right to Farm, in November, following the announcement Aug. 8, by the Oklahoma Supreme Court.

“This is great news as everyone will now be able to support agriculture by voting yes on 777,” Terry Detrick, president of American Farmers & Ranchers, said.

The Supreme Court ruled SQ777 will remain on the general election ballot.

“AFR, along with other farm groups, has strongly supported the “right to farm” amendment to the state’s Constitution,” Detrick said. “This court ruling verifies what we have always believed, that our citizens should have the  right to support agriculture.”
