Statement by Terry Detrick on Trump Asking EPA to Reconsider WOTUS

American Farmers & Ranchers has long been opposed to the EPA’s onerous Waters of the U.S. rule and we are pleased President Trump has ordered the EPA to roll back the rule and reconsider the rule’s damaging impact on agriculture.

This has been an unnecessary and burdensome proposal from the beginning.  Under this new executive order, farmers, ranchers and other landowners can rest easy knowing federal agents will not be roaming across pastures and fields, looking for WOTUS violations.

We look forward to working with the EPA on a fair and common sense approach to protecting our natural resources.
