This popular event is held in the fall of each year and is available to members and non-members. Students in grades 4-12 compete in their respective category at District contests held around the state. First and second place winners in each of the categories advance to the State Speech Contest held in Stillwater on the campus of Oklahoma State University.

More than 130 American Farmers & Ranchers/Oklahoma Farmers Union (AFR/OFU) 2015 Leadership Summit attendees once again teamed up with Kids Against Hunger to help fight hunger in the United States and abroad. Kids Against Hunger is a humanitarian food-aid organization with a mission to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the U.S. and to feed starving children throughout the world.

American Farmers & Ranchers/Oklahoma Farmers Union (AFR/OFU) hosted its 2015 Leadership Summit July 26 – August 1. More than 160 students participated in leadership development activities that will benefit them far into the future.

This year marks the second year for the summit to be held at Big Cedars Camp near Wanette, Okla. The central location has made the AFR/OFU Leadership Summit equally accessible to both sides of Oklahoma.

American Farmers & Ranchers announced its 2015-2016 Youth Advisory Council at the organization’s annual Senior Leadership Summit Reception July 30, 2015.

The Council consists of high school juniors and seniors representing AFR youth from across the state. Members of the 2015-2016 Council are Madi Baughman, Lone Grove; Grant Wilber, Cherokee; Ashley Tucker, Fairview; Macee Hammack, Leedey; and Guess Leonard, Claremore.

The senior session is now full. No additional applications will be accepted.

It's not camp...It's a whole lot more! This year’s Teen and Senior Leadership Summits will be held at Camp Big Cedars near Wanette in south-central Oklahoma. Summit focuses on leadership, teamwork and cooperative skills.

This contest is designed to recognize Oklahoma youth who have an interest in livestock, excel in showmanship skills and have knowledge of the livestock industry to include production, management, processing and end product utilization.

The contest stimulates excellence and a quest for knowledge that results in the development of leadership skills applicable to the livestock industry.

Competition will be limited to 4-H & FFA members exhibiting breeding and/or market beef, sheep, goat or swine at the 2015 Oklahoma Youth Expo and who are classified as high school juniors or seniors.

Each year, American Farmers & Ranchers/Oklahoma Farmers Union Youth Programs capture the creativity of students across the state of Oklahoma with our annual poster contest. There’s always a remarkable response and each year the home office receives 6,000+ posters. All posters must be returned to your local AFR Insurance Agent or mailed to the address below NO LATER THAN JANUARY 1.
