AFR Elects Leaders at Annual Convention
Voting delegates at the recent 2017 AFR convention elected two new leaders and re-elected three current leaders for their board of directors and officers. The voting took place Feb. 18 during the second day of the three-day annual convention at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center in Norman, Okla.

AFR Women Leaders Surpass Food Drive Goal
Throughout 2016, AFR members, youth, agents and local volunteers gathered donations during county and statewide events. Members were asked to bring nonperishable canned goods to county annual meetings, county fairs, and other local events. Youth at the annual leadership summit played a major role in meeting the Women’s Cooperative goal.

Rural to Urban Outreach Reception to Feature Tulsa Mayor Bynum
American Farmers & Ranchers LEAD program is sponsoring the Rural to Urban Outreach reception, Dec. 9, as part of the Tulsa Farm Show. The reception starts at 4:30 p.m. in the lower level of the River Spirit Expo Building in Tulsa.
G.T. Bynum, the new mayor of Tulsa, will share remarks on the key role Tulsa plays in the state’s economy, especially in regards to the rural and agricultural sectors.
