More than 225 Oklahoma FFA, 4-H members and adults participated in the annual commercial cattle grading school and contest, April 8, at OKC West Livestock Market, Inc., El Reno, Oklahoma.

American Farmers & Ranchers partnered with the Oklahoma Youth Expo to host the Youth Agricultural Achievement Contest, March 17.  The contest recognizes Oklahoma youth who excel in showmanship skills and demonstrate superior knowledge of the livestock industry including production, management, processing, and end product utilization.

At the 2016 annual AFR state convention on February 19^th, delegates adopted these new policy provisions.

The “Drive Away Hunger with AFR” campaign is asking members to bring canned goods as well as financial contributions to their local and county meetings. Please contact your local food bank for more information regarding your local area’s needs.

Television celebrity and Oklahoma native Kent Rollins is AFR’s latest partner in helping improve the lives of rural Oklahoma.

The AFR Women’s Cooperative hosted regional retreats in addition to the 2015 annual conference. Through the past months, members have had the opportunity to attend one of these events in the Southwest and Southeast districts.
